St. Louis Gun Show report

Machinest Hall Gun show and Military collectables today in St. Luois area 500 tables +-

CMMG--the big gun show source here for AR15s was not there.

Not even one AK and very few ARs (Less than 10) the ARs were very high priced. Fals were very high priced.

Mausers and some old looking FALs and Hunting longarms all makeing a good showing.

Older used Pistols/Revolvers everywhere.

Less than 20 NIB Handguns.

Reloader supply guy had more customers than normal.

The place was packed --It was uncomfortable walking down the isles.

I went after the show to an indoor range in St. Louis (Bullseye)to get some 38special ammo. There was none! I was told they can't keep it in stock.

Same reasons we have been hearing.

OK I have to ask. You can answer by simply saying yes or no. You don't need to give up the source. Does anyone know of ANYWHERE that still has assault rifles or assault rifle ammo IN STOCK? I know some places like ammunitiontogo say they do, but after reading their home page I am doubting they ACTUALLY do.

ammunitiontogo is a good site but like everyone else they are getting a crapload of orders. They are filling orders as quickly as possible but I have yet to read any issues with them not coming through on the dozen firearm forums I read daily.

I hope they come through. I have faith. The last time I ordered though, I asked for Silver Bear. What I got was Golden Bear. There was a hand written note inside that said, "Sorry all out of Silver Bear, here is some Golden Bear."

I'm just worried this time it will read, "Sorry no more ammo, here is a gun case and a smoke grenade." :confused_ma:

There are a few local shops that are still getting ARs..

I've never been much impressed with the Machinist shows and over the years shows in general seemed to have diminished in quality due to the internet market growth....I usually don't go anymore. Next weekend though the St Charles show should be bigger, maybe better like last year. Time to stock up on powder and primers etc while they last and load/reload.

CMMG was in springfield today doing a show...seems like springfield has a RK gun show every 30-45 days here during the fall and winter

Last gun show i didnt know how they could get more people in the building complex......but this show today was...at least 200 in line to get in the door all day coming in as fast as they could take the $.....they had to open up some more areas because the fire marshall forced it...50,000sq/ft elbow to elbow all day...saw several people with 2 wheel dollies wheeling out cases of ammo stacked 4-5 high....it was pretty amazing to see..

saw 3 saiga 12s at the show...priceing was 629 with the standard mag ...hi cap mag added was 75$

how does that priceing compare....i may go back tomorrow and see if they still have them?

the show was noticeably short on black rifles compared to previous shows...i only saw 3-4 308 black rifles...mostly only ar-15s

NIB handguns were noticeably less than last show but there was still a good selection...i did notice the better/ more popular brands were bringing higher premiums
